When we visited, we literally couldn’t put the camera away. Everywhere you look, there’s beauty. The grounds set against the magnificence of the building is a sight you want to remember forever. So when Adare Manor approached us to create a special scarf to sell to their guests, we knew exactly which photograph it had to be.
We've been blown away by the reaction to our six unique specially-made printed scarves for the hotel.
It’s hard to pick a favourite – it’s kind of like choosing a favourite child, but there are a few standouts this season that we constantly wear, and our customers are loving too.
Here are our top 5 scarves and the special moments behind each place.
1 Beehive Huts
On a trip to Kerry, Dairine she came across the stunning clusters of stone Beehive huts. They were built in the Early Medieval period and were used as houses.
We were delighted to attend the launch of the new Avoca Dunboyne store in Meath. Their beautiful new store has a stunning collection of clothes, homewares, toys and food. It is great to see lots of Irish businesses featured within this store and we are so proud to be one of them. They have done a super job on the KDK scarf wall which showcases all of our 20 prints that we have exclusively designed for Avoca this summer. Our collection includes prints of photographs of The Rock of Cashel, St.
Keira and I created KDK, our lifestyle brand in 2010 to introduce unique and loved items that gave owners "luxury in their everyday life". We started first with pure cashmere scarves featuring images that we created from photographs and drawings. Last year, we introduced a diffusion scarf range, with more affordable blends of cashmere and wool and also a silk and modal blend.
KDK exhibited @Premiere Class in Paris
We were delighted to have been awarded funding by Irish Design 2015 to attend the International trade show Premiere Classe. Premiere Classe showcases next season's accessory trends and is renowned for its high-quality selection of jewellery, footwear, leather goods and many accessories. Designers and labels that are specifically chosen for their creativity, originality and style so we were delighted to be accepted for the January show. It was KDK's first venture into the international trade show world and it was a great experience.
Great morning meeting all Irelands top journalists and bloggers in the gorgeous venue of the Bank Bar and restaurant on College Green. We were delighted to hear the positive feedback about the quality of the scarves and also the interest in the stories and inspirations behind the collection. This AW15/16 collection celebrates old and new Irish architecture and key landmarks around Ireland, which we manipulate and explored in a contemporary and modern way.
Luxury for everyday life for your Autumn Winter wardrobe
The KDK Autumn Winter 2015-16 has launched with lots of new lighter material and abstract prints. The luxury cashmere designers KDK are now in their sixth season and have introduced a new material and size to their scarf offering. The latest range are a beautiful silk, cashmere and modal mix which makes them extremely soft and lightweight. The high grade 100% cashmere that has made the KDK scarves so loved by their wearers is also available in the range.
We are very excited to showcase a preview of the KDK SS15 collection at the ARC Irish Designer Fashion show tonight!! This fashion show is for an amazing cause and KDK are honoured to be apart of it.
After the great success of last years event, KDK were delighted to return as a participate again of the ARC Fashion Show. ARC Cancer Support Centres are celebrating 21 years providing support to men and women living with cancer and those who care for them.
